FAQs

+ What is your availability like?

My availability changes frequently but is always listed at the top of the page. I usually book in projects a few weeks ahead of myself.

I only work with 3-4 clients a month so my availability is limited, but if you have a tight timescale then you can always ask and I can see if I can accommodate you, or recommend a designer who can.

+ What is working with you and Begin Studio like?

My favourite way to describe it is a collaboration. My clients often describe me as structured, thoughtful and communicative. I don't hide behind my emails, I love presenting ideas to my clients, taking regular calls and making sure I’m on hand to help guide you through the process.

+ Do you offer Payment Plans?

Yes, I'm happy to spilt the cost of us working together over 4 or 6 months. I'll ask about this in our first call.

+ What is the booking process like?

After reaching out to me, I’ll send over a proposal document and we can also have a call to get to know eachother better. If you’re ready to move ahead, I’ll send over a contract and deposit to get you booked in! I also offer payment plans so this can be discussed at this stage.

+ Do you work with international clients?

Absolutely, all my prices are in british pounds but I've been lucky enough to work with clients from the United States, Europe and Austraila. If you would like a proposal in your countries currency then I'm happy to do so.

+ What happens at the end of the process?

At the end of our work together, my focus is to ensure that you love the work we’ve created together, understand how to use your pieces and feel confident in using your new brand. This might come in a few different forms, but usually a tutorial, calls or handover document are great ways for us to connect at the end of the project. I can also offer support and advice on ways you can move forward.

For website projects, special attention is given to the tutorial and handover document, ensuring that you fully understand how to use your site and all ownership is transferred over. If you have any technical questions in the weeks after our project is complete, you can also email me and I’ll find some resources to help you.

+ Do your prices include VAT?

Yes, they do! As a dutch registered small business, I have a responsibility to pay VAT on all my services no matter what my turnover is. There are some exceptions for VAT registered businesses in the UK but we can discuss these when I send over our proposal.

+ What website platforms do you work with?

Squarespace is my favourite platform for small businesses as it’s easy for my clients to update and highly customisable, and as of 2023, it's the only platform that I offer design and build in. If you are unsure about Squarespace or need advise on which website platform to use, we can chat about it in our initial call.

If you are looking for a Shopify or Wix site, then I can recommend a website designer to follow our process with.

Remember that the cost of the website subscription and custom domain is a separate cost to my website design fee. Depending on the platform you want to work with, I can provide resources for you to learn more about each platform.
